Introducing limited edition watches created in partnership with one of the most successful Japanese Manga anime series: One Piece. The One Piece stories are based on a pirate theme with good overcoming evil, the main character pursuing the ‘one piece’ for him to become the Pirate King. The fun, colourful and eye-catching animations are the inspiration behind this watch collaboration, with each watch representing one of the five key characters in the series. This specific watch takes its design cues from the character Sabo, the Revolutionary Army's chief of staff who is outranked only by Supreme Commander and the ‘World’s Worst Criminal’ - Monkey D.Luffy’s father - Monkey D. Dragon. He is also the sworn brother of the notorious pirates Monkey D. Luffy and the late Portgas D. Ace. Each limited edition piece comes with its own special box. Seiko 5 Sports is known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance and value. ‘’5’’ represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet. The Case: The Seiko 5 Sports One Piece ‘Sabo' SRPH71K1 case measures 42.5mm in diameter and is made from solid stainless steel. The shape of the watch’s case is similar to that of a ‘Turtle’, whose nickname derives from its cushion style case and its shell-like-profile. An oversized silver screw down crown is present beside the 4 o’clock mark, it is protected by a crown guard, which bolsters the functionality of this watch. A unidirectional bezel exhibits a black 60-minute and blue knurled edges that ensure that the bezel can be operated easily. Hardlex crystal glass has been used to protect the dial from scratches and damage sustained from knocks. The case also features a see-through case-back with a limited edition One Piece print, as well as the serial number engraved into the case.
