The Case: The 43mm case of this Seiko 5 Sports SRPE80K1 model is made from stainless steel with a golden rustic style. This watch is part of a specialist style series which is based around and suitable for jobs which involve manual labour such as a watchmaker. The rustic theme continues on both the crown seen at 4 o'clock and the bezel. The crown is surrounded by a guard which will help prevent any knocks in the workplace. Furthermore, the unidirectional rotating bezel is perfect for timing a small task at work with an accuracy down to a minute. The bezel has small jagged edges which allow for you to grip and spin it easily. The case back is transparent, which allows the wearer to view the inner mechanisms of the timepiece. The Strap: The strap of the watch is made up of both silicone and brown leather. The inside of the strap is silicone, which is beneficial for the wearer, due to the fact it is softer and more flexible than many other strap types. The silicone strap has been lined on top with brown calfskin leather that provides the watch with a aura of sophistication and class. Also the watch fastens using a standard buckle, that has been embossed with the Seiko logo. The Dial: The textured black dial is perhaps the standout feature of the watch. It is complemented by the equally sleek white luminescent indices and hands, which allows for easy visibility at night. The hour hand comes in a cathedral style, whereas the minute hand comes in an arrow style, both have an elegant polished gold trim. The second indices are positioned within the chapter ring which is another subdued, but pleasing, touch. A day date window replaces the 3 o’clock marker, this can be displayed in either English or French. The new Seiko 5 Sport logo is present beneath the 12 o’clock marker, whilst ‘automatic’ is displayed above the 6 o’clock mark.
